The global distribution of androids was strictly overseen by CENRA, the Cybernetic & Enhanced Neural Robotics Authority, responsible for regulating the manufacture, certification, and circulation of all authorized models. ALPHA's headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, served as the corporation's strategic center.
Two hours and fifteen minutes after the resupply ship bound for the Orbital Exchange Base (BOI) lifted off from the facility, Joe Moses, head of security, detected the absence of units MSA-2104.11 and FSA-2105.12, known as Froid and Alma.
Certification procedures for the MSA and FSA series were notoriously rigorous. Dr. Radić requested to be connected with Yumi Takanashi, ALPHA's chief executive officer. Tension flooded the room as he stepped away from the meeting.
